Josephine Cheng
IBM Fellow & VP IBM Almaden Research Center, IBM

Dr. Cheng oversees more than 400 scientists and engineers doing exploratory and applied research in various hardware, software and service areas, including: nanotechnology, materials science, storage systems, data management, web technologies, workplace practices and user interfaces. Cheng received the Asian American Engineer of the Year award in 2003. In 2006, she was inducted into the NAE and named one of the Top 10 Software Leaders in China.  She received the Professional Achievement Award from UCLA in 2007.  She is also on the EECS advisory board of the UC Berkeley, as well as a member of SJSU’s Engineering Industry Advisory Council. Dr. Cheng has been awarded 28 patents for her inventions.
John McDonald
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Chevron Corporation

John W. McDonald is vice president and chief technology officer of Chevron Corporation, a position he assumed in January 2008. He is the corporate officer responsible for Chevron's three technology companies: Energy Technology, Information Technology and Technology Ventures. In this role, he manages the research, development and integrated application of technology throughout the company's worldwide business activities. McDonald is a member of Chevron’s Strategy and Planning Committee and Management Committee.
Farhat Ali
Honorary Dean,LENSOO

Prior to assuming these roles with LENSOO in April 2010, Mr. Ali was president and chief executive officer of Fujitsu America. He successfully orchestrated mergers of various subsidiaries of Fujitsu to form Fujitsu America which provides Information Technology based business solutions. His contributions at Fujitsu include building an effective executive team, revamping the sales structure, and developing a world-class supply chain. Mr. Ali has broad experience in all facets of business and operations. Prior to joining Fujitsu, he spent over 20 years at Amdahl Corporation where he held senior management positions including Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Customer Service and Chief Financial Officer of Amdahl Global Services. Mr. Ali graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University where he received a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He obtained a master of business administration from Harvard Business School. Mr. Ali and his wife Memuna live in Saratoga, California. They have a daughter Yasmin. Mr. Ali is actively involved with local colleges and the CTO Forum. He enjoys golf and contract bridge.
Vishal Sikka
Chief Technology Officer, SAP

Dr.Sikka leads SAP's forward-thinking efforts around emerging technologies and the mapping of their next-generation architecture. Prior roles include SVP of Architecture and Chief Software Architect. Before SAP he served as VP at Peregrine Systems. He joined Peregrine following the acquisition of Bodha, Inc., where he served as founder and CEO. Sikka holds a Ph.D. in C.Sc. from Stanford University.
Padmasree Warrior
Chief Technology Officer,Cisco

As an evangelist for what’s possible, Warrior pushes Cisco to stretch beyond its current capabilities. Prior to Cisco she was the CTO at Motorola. She served in a range of roles in her 23 years at Motorola, including as GM of the Energy Systems Group, and as CTO for its Semiconductor Products Sector. She holds a M.S. degree in Ch. E. from Cornell University and a B.S. degree in Ch. E. from IIT, Delhi.
Joe Pasqua
Vice President of Research,Symantec, Inc.

Joe Pasqua is Vice President of Research for Symantec. In this role he is responsible for all activities within Symantec Research Labs including core research, government and university research, advanced concept development, external standards activities, and product security. His background includes over 25 years of research and development experience in the software industry at companies such as Xerox, Oracle, and Adobe as well as several startups.
Mark Carges
Senior Vice President, Platform & CTO, Marketplaces, eBay, Inc.

Marc is responsible for accelerating eBay's company-wide platform innovation and further opening eBay's platform to outside developers to enhance the customer experience and enable new business opportunities. Before eBay Marc was Executive Vice President, Products and General Manager, for the Business Interaction Division of BEA System.
Basheer Janjua
Founding-Chair & President, CTO Forum, Inc.

Basheer Janjua is the Founding-Chair and President of the CTO Forum and its two special workgroups – The CIO Council, The Energy Council and The CTO Institute @ Stanford University. The CTO Forum is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a trusted and creative environment where the brightest minds of our generation can come together to address the industry’s most pressing issues. Janjua is well known among his peers for his passion and commitment to drive dialogue that advances our modern world. For the last decade, Janjua has also served as the Chairman and CEO of Integnology, a consulting practice. He also serves on the advisory board of the Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California, Berkeley.
